This expanding manufacturing company is searching for a true General Manager to lead the team at their new facility. This individual will have total responsibility for the manufacturing operations as well as business development and growth. The position reports to the CEO directly and the direct reports will include Materials Planning, Quality Director, Human Resources Manager, R&D Director, and Production Manager.

CANDIDATE MUST HAVE CLOG (Creams, lotions, ointments, gels) contract packaging experience

This individual must be able to function independently and when necessarily "get down in the weeds" to identify a problem but then delegate the necessary tasks for resolution so he/she can focus on the business in total. Experience with processing/blending (chemical and/or dry materials) and packaging lines will be required. A solid understanding of GMP and best practices is necessary as well as lean manufacturing. 

Candidates with experience leading/managing a smaller manufacturing concern with the above experience with the titles of General Manager, Director of Operations, President or VP of Operations will be considered, as they will have the technical and operational experience as well as the business acumen to manage this business unit.
 
This individual will manage by objectives, which will be developed in conjunction with the CEO.

The candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain customers in the specified market. This will require fostering a solid line of communication with customers to insure that product quality and delivery meets or exceeds expectations. This individual will also work closely with the CEO and corporate team on new business pricing and launch. 

Job 1 will be the evaluation and optimization of the processing and packaging areas. As the business progresses this individual will lead the efforts to define and implement growth plans including physical facility design and construction.

Currently the facility is running 3 shifts with 7 lines and plans for growth when warranted. There are 300 associates (direct and temporary) with approximately 125,000 sqft of space and land for considerable expansion.

Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelors degree and 10 years of leadership in a similar manufacturing concern and an MBA would be preferred.
