RM Schulte and Associates, one of the automotive industries’ leading search firms has been selected to lead a search in the Lima, OH area for a Human Resources Generalist.

This position is 3rd shift

  • Serve day-to-day needs of the Associates 
  • Participate in WC claims review with third party administrators and create action plan on how to address cases
  • Complete  waivers, appeals, and request independent medical exams pertaining to WC claims
  • Communicate Associates’ leave to appropriate staff
  • Attend Industrial Commission Hearings
  • Communicate with all levels of management on matters related to Workers’ Compensation and Training
  • Develop and monitor training-related activities, including interactive training
  • Assist in the review of work-related incidents, investigations, evaluations and completion of appropriate countermeasures
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation Training and assist Team Leaders with line side training of New Trainees and Associates
  • Prepare and maintain all documents pertaining to New Hire Orientation
  • Provide training, including but not limited to Forklift Certification, OSHA Required Subjects, TPS, Quality Skills, Job Instruction, Group Leader development and training as determined
  • Audit Associates on manufacturing processes utilizing training audit and evaluation form
  • Assist in the creation of training materials/presentation for internal training
  • Maintain training documentation
  • Monitor Associates’ restrictions and work with department management to find acceptable work
  • Work with the Occupational Health Nurses to ensure the health, safety and wellness of  Associates
  • Assist in the coordination of special events and Wellness Initiatives
  • Schedule requested training with the appropriate vendor including the creation/issuance of PO/check request
  • Assist in the daily activities of the HR Department
  • Bachelor Degree with an emphasis in HR or 4-6 years related experience in a Manufacturing environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook – Above average skills in MS Excel
  • Previous experience developing and leading training programs
  • Knowledge of Ohio’s Workers’ Compensation Laws, HR policies, and EOE guidelines
  • Demonstrated record of reliable attendance
  • Strong organizational skills
