Are you an experienced Industrial Product Manager looking for an exciting opportunity with an excellent company?

If so, this position, located in South Bend, Indiana area is for you! This person will be responsible for managing projects and programs to further profitable sales and market position the company’s Industrial Products that are sold into Industrial applications including up-stream/mid-stream/down-stream petro-chemical, power, gas, waste water, pulp & paper, and mining. This person is charged with driving market share growth as well as expansion into new market vertical and product categories. The Industrial product manager will gain intimate knowledge of our product user’s needs in core markets as well as define customer needs and market conditions in new verticals to help develop strategic and product roadmaps that position brands as market leaders in targeted verticals for providing value add solutions.
The Industrial Product Manager will also work closely with Sales to develop channel and promotional programs to further improve our service and customer satisfaction. This person will also work closely with Marketing Communications to further brand recognition and image in targeted market verticals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop deep market knowledge of customer needs, market trends, and channel opportunities and contribute to development of business strategy
  • Analyze data to draw conclusions and make informed decisions
  • Lead VOC efforts to gain insightful knowledge of customer problems and needs that may be address though innovative products and services.
  • Perform Market Research and define New Market opportunities
  • Define and lead execution of market vertical programs such as:
    • Sales Training Programs
    • Targeted Sales Programs (EPC Focus)
    • Customer Plant Visit Program
    • Product Promotion Programs
    • Unique Key Account Programs
    • Product Pricing Movements
    • Product Rationalization
  • Define and contribute to execution of product development projects by:
    • Managing Industrial product roadmap and lifecycle
    • Developing new product business case
    • Developing new product requirements
    • Developing new product “go to market plans”
    • Primary Driver of NPD stage-gate projects
  • Lead and contribute to execution of special projects such as:
    • System Sales Ordering and Fulfillment Process Improvement
    • Product Configurator
    • Strategic Collateral development
  • Support Selling process:
    • Developing selling tools to support Sales Managers
    • Go to person to resolve issues not being well managed through existing processes
    • Bridge between departments to drive fast and efficient decision making on critical items
  • Up to 50% travel required
  • 5+ years of Industrial Market experience required
  • 5+ years of Product Management experience required
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience required
  • 5+ years of customer facing experience required
  • 2+ years of global customer interaction preferred
  • 2+ years of system sales preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or Technical Field
  • MBA Preferred
