Are you a Product Design Engineer looking for an excellent global company to make a difference?
As the Product Design Engineer, you will research, design, develop, and execute on new product line offerings, within the conditioning lines, to continually create innovation that is aligned to business goals.
You will meet with dealers to establish product needs and specifications within the industry, as well as research competitive product lines and new grain drying techniques, to create new or enhanced products that will drive business goals.
You will create the design, layout, and calculations for the new or enhanced products to identify timing, resources, and costs to achieve results with each new project.
You will collaborate and communicate with team members to direct the detailed product design and implementation, providing summations and validation of the new feature set (sequences, gateway guideposts, and mechanical validation) along the way.
You will establish Bill of Materials and Routers (process flow) in the ERP system to create demand in the system and ensure total costs of the enhanced or new product match the approved plan.
Education: BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering required to meet the job expectations.
Experience: 5+ years of mechanical design of new products, using combustion or control systems. Experience with the Agricultural industry preferred; will consider similar product design fields.
Functional Skills: Strong experience with mechanical product design; i.e. ability to convert scientific knowledge into a functioning product design. Strong analytical, conceptual, project management, and organizational skills are also required to take ideas, design a product, and execute to meet market needs.
A familiarity with CE European product standards would be a plus. Also requires a solid decision-maker who can review obstacles and create options.
Technology Skills: Strong skill set in AutoCAD / 3D CAD programming; ERP system experience is a plus (JD Edwards preferred); Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel) required as well.
Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; will present ideas and outlines to management team and will write detailed specifications for outsourcing.

Salary: Salary is commensurate with proven expertise.
This position is eligible for holiday bonus & profit sharing! And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!
Travel: Approximately 10% or less
