Our client, who is a very well-established healthcare provider in the DC Metro area is looking to expand its team with a new LPN Supervisor. This positions is a full time role, from 8:00 - 4:30 Monday through Friday and is within walking distance from Dupont Metro.  Our client offers great hours & work-life balance, outstanding benefits, and a supportive team environment. As an LPN Supervisor, you will provide direct oversight to LPN's and CNA's, provide nursing care and patient education to meet the needs of client population; assist other nursing staff members and department providers in the provision of quality care. We are looking to interview immediately.  Skilled nursing experience, plus good tenure and supervisory experience is strongly sought after. 

Qualifications:

  • Active LPN license in DC
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Supervisory experience is preferred
  • HS diploma
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Positive attitude and outstand bedside manner
  • Willingness to be of assistance where needed

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise 3-5 LPN's and CNA's
  • Assisted with scheduling, supervision of staff and problems as they arise
  • Be the first point of contact for clients and their families
  • Performs resident care according to policy/procedure and standards as delegated by the Nurse Manager, Clinical Coordinator, RN, or Charge Nurse
  • Demonstrates appropriate knowledge base when performing resident care
  • Provides for the emotional & physical comfort and safety of the resident, family, &/or caregiver
  • Observes residents for specific signs/symptoms as instructed by NM, CC, or RN
  • Observes for changes in clinical or functional status, and reports changes to NM, CC, or Supervisor in a timely manner
  • Assists residents with ADLs and any special care needs as indicated by NM, CC, RN, or Charge Nurse for which they are properly educated and trained
  • Recognizes and responds to emergent situations efficiently and effectively by managing self, residents, staff, and others appropriately
