Bill of Material, Capacity, Fabrication, and New Model Introduction planning are all Production Control planning functions
covered in this job description. All require cross-functional communication, coordination, collaboration, negotiation and
conflict resolution leadership skills. They require advanced PYMAC (or other) computer system parameter setting and
New Model Introduction Planning:
Responsible for overall control of the new product introduction cycle from new model kickoff through production to
assure a smooth and successful product launch.
Work closely with Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics and other departments
to ensure successful product launch.
Plan, schedule and lead meetings necessary to achieve the new model targeted milestones and dates.
Maintain and monitor project timelines to ensure all deadlines met.
Inform the organization when deadlines are not met.
Serve as the primary focal point for new model schedule change requests.
Assess the risks and constraints of the potential changes.
Monitor the progress of each company operational and functional department involved with the 1QDC method.
Inform the organization of each respective department's 1QDC results and coordinate improvement activities.
Implement improvements to the 1QDC process.
Establish performance measurements to measure organization's status to required new model deliverables on a
Control Production Control new model PYMAC system control set up (serial number control, model master
updates, APP module substitute BOM parameter control.
Cross-train into other production Control planning functions and support other Production Control related tasks
Facilitate executive level meetings with timed agenda control.
Properly communicate with Sales groups on new model introduction status.
Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent experience 4 to 5 yrs.
2+ years of Production Control experience or equivalent.
Other Required Skills:
Perform other related duties as required.
Excellent personal computer skills and knowledge of mainframe MRP/CRP computer systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access programs.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
