RM Schulte and Associates has partnered with an innovative leader in technologically advanced steel to lead a search for their Software / Systems Engineer. Our client in NW Ohio is the industry leader in providing coiled steel to the automotive for metal stamping parts.
  • Summary:
    • ?This position is responsible for the programming of safe, efficient operation and maintenance of the plant Level 2 line and ASRS automation and data acquisition systems of the Continuous Galvanizing Lines, the Continuous Annealing Line, and related equipment. Responsibilities will include programming on web based office automation, database access/updates, and related computing systems
  • Essential Responsibilities:
    • ?Programs and debugs the Level 2 Systems, Interacts with Level III, Automated warehouse, and interfaces to insure safe and efficient plant operation and to meet production and quality assurance requirements.
    • Insures processes are meeting quality and productivity objectives through daily monitoring, maintenance, and interaction with plant personnel.
    • Performs required system modifications to meet objectives after analysis of data and evaluation of requirements.
    • Documents, tests, and debugs systems revisions to insure objective achievement.
    • Performs troubleshooting of the system to avoid delays and processing problems.
    • Trains and coordinates operating technicians’ activities in all phases of process control.
    • Remains current with technology and plant requirements. Recommends and implements hardware and software upgrades.
    • Maintains contractor service agreements to insure safe and efficient operations.
    • Develops and implements process control quality programs to insure constant improvement to process and product.
  • Required Qualifications / Skills
    • ?Observes plant safety and housekeeping rules at all times
    • Can organize multiple projects at one time
    • Effective communication skills
    • Teamwork ability
    • Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet programs)
    • Preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and assessment skills
    • Familiarity with computer maintenance management systems (CMMS)
    • Familiarity with Document management systems (DMS)
    • Awareness of EPA & OSHA regulations and other related laws and regulations
  • Education
    • ?BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or an Associate’s degree in engineering and equivalent education and experience
