About the Opportunity

Digital Management, LLC (DMI) is currently seeking to hire a Senior Program Control Analyst for a large Federal contract in the Washington, D.C. area.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assists the Program Manager in the maintenance of contract funding budgets; monitors expenditures and burn rates to assure availability of funds; prepares spend plans, forecasts and variance analysis
  • Prepares invoices and invoice back-up documentation
  • Support the month-end accounting close process by assuring the completion of accurate journal entries, analyzing financial data and variances, and ensuring consistent and accurate data based on generally accepted accounting principles
  • Reviews vendor invoices and codes them for processing, tracks vendor burn to PO's, creates purchase requisitions as needed
  • Prepare customer pay period and monthly financial burn reports
  • Assists in resolving project financial problems and provides ad hoc profitability analysis on project direct cost
  • Use spreadsheet, forecasting software packages and query tools to analyze financial data, develop forecasts and provide burn analysis
  • Create and present customer and management reports and presentations
  • Work individually and in a team environment to analyze and financial information
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Program Manager


Required Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience as a financial analyst or project control analyst in a government contracting environment
  • A working knowledge of CostPoint and Cognos
  • A working knowledge of various contract types
  • Must be able to resolve issues and problems independently
  • Must have working knowledge of GAAP and DCCA compliance requirements
  • Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Must have knowledge of project financials and the ability to resolve cost, revenue and billing issues as they occur
  • Must be able to quickly adapt to new reporting requirements, provide on the fly financial analysis and build and present customer reports and presentations
