We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Project Manager with a Pharmaceutical background for a senior position with a excellent company in Albuquerque, NM. 

 

Summary: This position is responsible for managing the successful technical transfer of client projects and products to our manufacturing facility.  This includes the management of a clients cross functional team that manages all aspects of client projects including, but not limited to, scheduling, logistics, regulatory strategies, equipment procurement, validation strategy, and all other items as necessary to complete technical transfer of the client’s project.

 

Responsibilities


• Evaluates new products and projects and provides the technical assessment to upper management in order for them to determine the feasibility of the product both from a financial and technical perspective.
• Consults and advises upper management of project status and reports issues that may impact ultimate results
• Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices in selecting techniques and solutions. Demonstrates success in technical proficiency as it pertains to site and corporate systems and practices, collaboration with others and independent thought.
• Monitors and reports progress of projects within agreed timelines ensuring technical and financial goals are met.
• Prepares technical and verbal reports and presentations on project progress.
• Collaborates with other groups, activities necessary to ensure project requirements are met.
• Is the key contact for issues, updates, product release and general state of the client project.
• Determines immediate and long-term work plans/strategies for reporting groups; allocates resources for projects.
• Ensures meeting minutes, agendas, timelines, and preparation for customer visits are done in a timely fashion.
• Develops, coordinates and tracks contractual specific client and internal projects through the entire project life cycle.
• Consults and advises upper management of project status and reports issues that may impact ultimate results
• Coordinates the revision of Standard Operating Procedures, Batch records, and other site-specific documents for the clients.
• Follows up with the QA Product Specialist to ensure that incident reports are closed in a timely manner and acts as liaison between QA Product Specialist and the client.
• Develops and administers schedules and performance requirements.
• Monitors and reports progress of projects within agreed timelines ensuring technical and financial goals are met.
• Collaborates with other groups, activities necessary to ensure project requirements are met.
• Other tasks as assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:  

                
•  Leads the technical assessment in project assessment/project triage
•  Manages daily activities in the project management department.

 

Education and/or Experience:                  
                  
• A minimum of BS or BA with a Science related field (Chemistry/Biology/Engineering).  Graduate degree preferred. 
• Solid knowledge of customer service, pharmaceutical industry, project management, and contract manufacturing. 
• Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Word, MS Project and Excel computer programs. 
• Ten years of pharmaceutical experience, or project management experience, or combination of education and experience.
