This opportunity is for a
Training and Development Specialist
on site at our client. As an employee of Productive Resources, you will assess training needs, obtain or develop programs and deliver various courses. May collaborate with unit or functional leaders on training strategy and other strategic training and development activities. This is a well-grounded, middle level seasoned training professional.
Assess training needs to determine skill or behavioral gaps and develop or obtain programs aimed at closing those gaps.
Certified to deliver various courses developed within the Company such as Train the Trainer courses or those courses obtained externally.
Assist with the completion of employee training plans working with managers and employees to identify potential developmental gaps and opportunities to close those gaps.
Participate in strategic planning and budget discussions and provide ongoing monitoring of the strategic plan and budget.
Prepare instructional materials and job aids for courses.
Implement raining requirements related to Enterprise projects such as Performance Management or Succession Planning.
Assist in establishing/monitoring training costs and forecasting training needs for future growth.
Must be able to work in a Team environment and with all levels of the organization from the new hired wage employee up to and including the Factory Manager.
Though the position will primarily focus on first shift, there will be requirements at times to work off shift hours (2nd and 3rd).
Provide safety support to specific departments regarding inspections and workplace hazard recognition.
Incorporation of new techniques and technology will also be critical for the success of this role.
Must be proficient with Excel and general MS Office.

High school diploma/equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience.
Required to be an advanced user of PowerPoint.
2- or 4-year degree preferred, but with 3+ years of relevant training experience.
