This privately held company has a strong people-oriented environment with its own eLearning and in-house curriculum to develop and advance employees. Now they want an experienced HR exec to further lead and develop these training and human resource initiatives.

This position requires an HR executive who will be a driving force in building company culture, oversee companywide talent management and be an equal on the executive team. Specific real estate and/or legal experience will be a plus
Responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function. Leads and supports the organization in human resources strategy aligned with organization objectives, employee relations, talent acquisition, total rewards, organizational development, human capital analysis and metrics, talent management to include succession planning and training/development.
Manage company-wide recruitment through recruiting staff and provide direction as needed to ensure staffing goals are met. Identify appropriate and effective external sources for candidates for all levels within the company, primarily for corporate positions.
Manage department colleagues including hiring and performance management.
Participate in the development of the corporation's plans and programs as a strategic partner, but particularly from the perspective of the impact on people.
Translate the strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans.
Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as those items impact the attraction, motivation, development and retention of our people resources.
Ensure management throughout the company adhere to a consistent, comprehensive Onboarding and New Colleague Orientation Program.
Develop progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance and to encourage retention.
Develop and coordinate colleague appreciation activities in accordance with company Mission and Guiding Principles.
Manage company-wide staff development through the director of training. Including the management of the company’s Learning Management System (LMS). Develop human resource planning models to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps. Work with the training department to develop specific programs for filling gaps. Areas of activity will include talent management through proper succession planning programs for key contributor and management positions, training and development programs for all colleagues.
Continually assess the competitiveness of all employee benefit programs and practices against relevant comparable companies, industry and markets.
Establish credibility and positive influence throughout the organization with management and employees in order to be an effective listener and problem solver of people issues.
Develop appropriate policies and programs for effective management of human capital.
Enhance, develop and implement human resources policies and procedures by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation and remain compliant with applicable employment laws.
Manage the human resource information systems database and necessary reports for critical analyses of the HR function and company employees.
Maintain knowledge of federal and state HR policies, programs, laws and issues.
Provide technical advice and knowledge to others within the human resources discipline. Manage other areas such as relocation, colleague communication, safety and health.
Manage the budget and other financial measures of the human resources department.
Evaluate the human resource department structure and with the team, plan for continual improvement of efficiency and effectiveness.
Direct oversight of all legal issues and lawsuits. Consult with legal counsel as appropriate or directed.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related program. Master's or MBA preferred.
Minimum 10-15 years’ progressive HR Director/VP experience.
Prior experience in the real estate investment services/property management industry
Demonstrated experience as strategic partner with an executive team.
Full functional HR expertise with Employee Relations, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition/Workforce planning, Organizational Development, Safety, Learning, Succession Planning and Performance Management.
Exemplary leadership, coaching, team-building, and management skills. Exceptional ability to positively influence and create rapport/credibility across all employee levels.
Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
SPHR, PHR, SHRM–CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred. CCP a plus!
Proficient computer applications skills to include MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
