This 29 year old privately held company employs approximately 100 people, is in the Distribution Graphic & Sign Vinyl Industry, and is a leading supplier of adhesive backed films, digital media and heat transfer films sold through distributors in North America. From its two distribution centers, and through its distributor network, the company provides an industry leading 1-2 day order to delivery time to 38 states and parts of Canada. The company has a clearly differentiated service proposition based on an extensive product selection, reliability, speed of delivery, and exceptional on-time performance. Key Brand partners include: 3M, Rtape, Aslan, to compliment the Company’s own private brand of vinyl and digital media.
As one of six Territory Sales Managers reporting to the Vice President of Sales, this position will handle the entire Western Region which covers the Western US and Western Canada, as well as key accounts in Texas. This position requires 50+% travel. Relocation not necessary: Will work from home but must be located in the territory or Texas. Preferred cities are: Dallas, Reno, Las Vegas, Portland, Denver, Phoenix, Salt Lake City.
Responsible for building the business within the western territory via prospecting and cold calling.
Maintain existing selling relationships and develop new business within those (distributor) accounts.
Analyze competitor activities in the territory while assessing opportunities for business development.
Arrange meetings with potential and existing customers to target new and expanded product offerings.
Attend relevant industry events and conferences to build business.
Provide market information, reports, forecasts, etc. as required by Sales Leadership.
Education & Experience:
College degree with a concentration Business or Marketing required
Minimum of 3 years sales experience (including 2+ years of field experience) selling with a strong commitment to customer follow up
Knowledge of sign or graphics industry including wide format digital printing is a strong plus, but not required.

Proven target and territory selling skills.
Results driven with a proven history of opening new distributor business.
Accomplished communication skills; ability to write and communicate ideas clearly and concisely.
Successful in communicating and selling ideas at various levels within the company's and in client organizations.
Success in growing sales and in meeting sales objectives.
Demonstrated organization skills and consistent achievement of deadlines.
CRM software (especially SalesForce) skills a big plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office including: Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Proven track record in regional/market growth through a distributor network (i.e. product penetration/product expansion)
Ability to identify opportunities, proven planning and successful plan execution skills.
Ability to overcome obstacles and get things done.
Demonstrated closing skills.
Demonstrated ability to accept ownership of assigned responsibilities.
Ability to consistently follow up and use information to generate new business within accounts.
Presentation and persuasive skills - ability to present ideas, concepts and conduct training
Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly at all levels.
Ability to establish new distribution within territory.
Ability to work in a team environment..
