Your unique role with us: This is a full time, growth position for the purpose of winning and delivering solutions. The employee will serve as a design and implementation engineer servicing organizations ranging from Small Business to Enterprise. This team member will design AND implement solutions related to the technologies and products listed below for new and existing customers. The Wireless Engineer will primarily be involved in nationwide project implementation of wireless network installations or upgrades, operations, and optimization as well as being responsible for providing technical ownership on engagements; while supporting sales initiatives and the customer
  • Review and validate understanding of customer design requirements
  • Work closely with Wireless Solutions Architect, Layer 1 Engineers and customer
  • Follow Customer standards for design documentation.
  • Provide technical leadership to survey, deploy, and support engineering teams.
  • Perform passive, active, and predictive wireless site surveys and assessments
  • Validate impact of AP changes on RF network behavior and performance prior to deployment
  • Coach and mentor other engineers on best practices
  • Communicate and collaborate within a cross-functional team
  • Review, audit, and approve deployments
 Location Information:
  • Most Preferred: Cincinnati, OH & St. Louis, MO
  • Second Preferred: Midwest near a major airport
  • 50% or more possible
What we are looking for: Ideal candidates hold Cisco CCNA or CCNP. Wireless related experience and certifications preferred. Qualified candidates will have 2 to 5 years of hands-on Cisco Wireless experience, with recent experience in a Design or Administration function. Excellent oral and written communication, customer service, and presentation skills required. The candidate should feel comfortable supporting the sales effort with presentations and meeting with customers. Candidate must have enterprise design and configuration experience with the following: 

Core Technical Skills: (Must Have Most):  The appropriate candidate will have extensive, recent, hands-on experience with the following minimum products\technologies. Experience must include solution design, consultation, implementation, administration, and troubleshooting either independently or as a team lead.  Candidate must be comfortable and enthusiastic engaging directly with end users as well as business leadership.
  • CCNA/CCNP level or equivalent experience;
    • R/S or Wireless focus preferred
  • Ekahau, Air Magnet and Spectrum Analysis survey tools
  • Wireless survey experience and deploying wireless (Cisco required, Aruba or Meraki added bonus)
  • Experience with MSE / CMX preferred
  • RF troubleshooting methodologies and techniques
  • WCS/NCS/Cisco Prime Infrastructures
  • Designing and Implementing enterprise grade wireless networks
Highly Preferred Technical Skills:
  • Cisco Meraki wireless systems
  • Aruba Wireless Technologies
  • CCIE is highly desired
  • Cisco Advanced Technologies (Security, IPT & video) is a plus
  • Cisco ISE
  • Ability to configure routers/ switches
