Our client , a major regional traditional A&E firm, is seeking a Licensed Professional Structural Engineer to fulfill the role of Structural Engineer of Record for varied building projects and related structures. The position will involve performing design calculations, development of construction plans and specifications, coordination with architectural, MEP and other disciplines, as well as providing construction phase services such as submittal reviews, site inspections, and responses to RFIs. Reports to the Head of the SE Department - this position is the technical expert and must be viewed as such with other departments - electrical, mechanical, etc. Must be someone who knows how to put buildings together - industrial plants, wastewater facilities, correctional, educational... more horizontal than hi-rise. Project management skills. No bridge/road only engineers. Strong in concrete and steel.


Job Requirements: P.E. license in Tennessee or ability to obtain within 3 months(S.E. a plus), 10 to 15 years experience with structural design of industrial/manufacturing, commercial, research, correctional, and environmental structures. Hi-rise experience a plus, MS degree a strong plus.


Other Required Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software, STAAD, and RAM. Autocad,Microstation, and BIM experience a plus. Strong organizational and collaborative skills.
