Sustainability Program Director

Responsibilities:
* Work as primary client interface to diagnose sustainability goals and requirements
* Develop and own the overall strategic plan with the client based on agreed scope (e.g., energy, green construction practices, etc.)
* Manage a team of resources to accomplish the plan on a specific timeline (resources may include third party vendors)
* Member of key groups that facilitate client alignment; may develop and chair a sustainability management oversight committee
* Develop relevant processes, policies, metrics, communications, staffing levels, skills, technology/tools, and incentive programs to achieve client goals
* Formalize, manage and track sustainability goals and metrics
* Manage the process of obtaining an environmental baseline for the portfolio
* Develop and train a distributed team of sustainability site champions
* Depending on the scope of the sustainability engagement, the Sustainability Program Director will be responsible for deliverables within specialties such as energy, green building, workplace strategy, and leasing

Requirements:
* College graduate and equivalent work experience; advanced degree desirable (Engineering, environmental, project management or business)
* LEED AP, Certified Energy Manager or Six Sigma certification (or equivalent)
* Minimum of 3 years experience with managing environmental sustainability for a portfolio
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team
* Strong industry contacts
* Participation in industry boards and organizations
* Experience presenting information to all levels of management
