Our client is the Midwest's leading medical billing company, located near Dayton, Ohio. This newly created position supervises: three Managers and four Supervisors in the Reimbursement Posting and Denial Management Departments.

Duties:

The Director of Finance is responsible for departmental operations, performance improvement, strategic planning and management for the revenue cycle of the billing process to include Reimbursement Posting and Denial Management. The Director of Finance is also responsible for the Corporate and Department budgets.

Management and monitoring of the revenue cycle including account receivables and collections to meet or exceed established corporate benchmarks
Identification and analyzing patterns of payer rejections and denials to implement process change or revision to decrease volume
Oversight of reimbursement posting and refund process to assure expedient and accurate payment recording and balancing to bank receipts
Evaluate and revise departmental policies and procedures and instituting changes to streamline operations and enhance revenue collections
Review and evaluation of innovative, new technologies that have potential to enhance operations in all departments
Oversight for personnel management including, but not limited to payroll, scheduling, training, counseling, evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions
Communicate relevant information and analysis to enhance present operations or disclose possible problem areas with President, Directors and management team
In conjunction with President and corporate accounting, establish corporate and department budgets and ensure operational expenses are within established budgets
Collects data to analyze the present and future financial status of the organization
Compiles and reports financial data as required by organization and government regulations
Determines goals and incentives for departments and staff
Mentors management staff and recommends employee development plans
Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities and accountability of all direct reports are defined and understood
Participates in the strategic planning of the company
Achieve understanding of key software tools used routinely by departments under direct supervision.
Attend Director and departmental meetings, establish, direct and lead management team meetings as necessary
Attend educational seminars and other self development activities as needed

Experience Required: Bachelor's degree and 5-10 years of management experience of ten or more employees; basic medical billing knowledge is preferred. Local candidates only
